Embrace Wellness: Upcoming Elder & Youth Programs

At the Nisga'a Village of Gitwinksihlkw, we believe that a healthy community is a connected community. Providing access to wellness programs and social support for all our members is one of our top priorities.

We are excited to share our ongoing community wellness schedule, facilitated by our dedicated Elder & Youth Worker, Susan Wesley. These programs are designed to bridge the gap between generations, promote physical health, and keep our Nisga'a culture thriving.

Upcoming Program Highlights:

  • Adaawak T'ist'isit (Oral Histories/Storytelling): Join us at the Elders Center to share and listen to the rich stories of our past, keeping our Adaawak alive.

  • Elders Walk with David Lee: Stay active and enjoy our beautiful natural surroundings. We meet regularly from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

  • Elder & Youth Craft Nights: Hosted at the TTM Loft, these evenings are a perfect opportunity to learn traditional skills and create together.

  • Girls & Boys Clubs: Engaging after-school activities for ages 4 to 12, hosted at the TTM.

We encourage everyone to participate. If you have any suggestions for new programs for our Elders or Youth, please feel free to reach out to Susan Wesley at the village office. Let’s continue to support one another in health, wellness, and tradition.
